Gandia is situated on the Mediterranean coast 65 km south of Valencia and 116 km north of Alicante. The road network is excellent, with the CV60 newly opened to Ontinyent and Alcoy inland and the A7 and N332 running north and south, Gandia is perfectly situated. With miles of Golden beaches spreading into the distance, a wide variety of water sports, windsurfing, sailing, diving, parasailing and many others, making Gandia the ideal place for a relaxed enjoyable holiday.

Along the beaches are dozens of cafes and restaurants selling everything from paella and gambas to eel stew and grilled meatballs. Like all Spanish towns Gandia has its share of fiestas, the main ones being in June and September.

There are hospitals and health centres in the town and all major supermarkets and shops have a place in the town. Nearby national parks and numerous places of interest for day trips make Gandia the ideal place to stay on the coast of Costa Alazhar.
